Shopping & Authentic Sourcing in Antalya

Antalya’s shopping scene has a well-earned reputation, and not entirely a good one. A guide who insists on “just one stop” — paid a commission for every visitor they bring through the door. Certificates that describe a stone quality the stone doesn’t actually have.

A carpet sold as hand-woven that a specialist back home identifies as machine-made within a minute. Contracts written in a way that makes a refund nearly impossible once you’ve signed. None of this is rare. It’s documented enough that entire guides exist just to warn visitors about it.

We work with a different set of people entirely — independent weavers, certified jewellers, leather ateliers, and antique dealers we’ve personally vetted, none of whom pay us to be recommended and none of whom we’re paid to send you to. That last part matters more than it sounds.

A guide earning commission has a reason to walk you into a specific shop. We don’t take commission from any of these introductions, which means we have no reason to send you anywhere except where we’d actually go ourselves.

For larger pieces — a rug, a sculpture, a significant commission — we point you to professional, licensed shippers who handle that part properly. That’s not something we manage ourselves, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Contact us. Tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll tell you honestly where to find it.
