Vantier does not operate anywhere near that model.
The standard tourist route to a Turkish rug is well-established and deliberately designed. A guide with a commercial arrangement. A showroom built for volume and psychological pressure. Prices calibrated to what a foreign visitor might accept rather than what the piece is worth. The tea is complimentary. The sales approach is not.
We carry no inventory and earn no commission from any purchase. Our function is purely advisory — identifying the right pieces for the client's aesthetic, spatial requirements, and budget, then facilitating a direct, transparent transaction at genuine local value.
We source authentic rugs and kilims through direct relationships with vetted master weavers and respected private collectors in Antalya — workshops and homes that tour buses do not visit and online listings do not reach. These are craftspeople whose work is the real thing: hand-knotted, regionally specific, traceable in its provenance and honest in its pricing.
The environment is unhurried. There is no sales pressure because there is no sales incentive on our side. The client looks, considers, asks questions, and decides entirely on their own terms.
Once a piece is chosen, we coordinate secure international shipping to the client’s home — packaging, documentation, and logistics handled with the same care we applied to finding the piece itself.
